Q & A

What is a Design Competition?

A design competition is where you can build out your ideas, network, and show off your skills. This event consists of forming teams, choosing an idea, building it out, and showing it off at the end. Students, sponsors, mentors, and judges gather together to push the limits of what you can build, only limited by your imagination.

Who can participate?

Students in 7th - 12th grade! Students must be 11 years or older to attend. This event is open to coders, designers, artists, program managers, and anyone else who wants to create! No prior coding or technical experience is necessary, and everyone is welcome to participate!

How many people can be in a team?

Each team can have a maximum of 4 students.

How much does it cost to attend?

$10 per student.

Where will the raised money go?

It will be used to pay for direct event expenses. Any funds remaining after the event has concluded will be donated.

Can I get a scholarship to attend?

Yes! There will be scholarships available when you register.

What are the prizes?

Undecided, but awesome.

How can I prepare?

Check out our Coding Resources page or attend one of Code Naturally's workshops.

What if I would like to be a part of staff, mentor, or judge?

Stupendous! We would love to have you as a staff member, mentor, or judge. Send us an email at telling us a little about yourself, and why you'd be a good fit for our competition.
